About Danielle

Danielle McGee is a Black business activist and advocate, certified digital marketer, professor at Tennessee State University and founder of Black Business Boom – a social enterprise supporting entrepreneurship in Black communities.

Through her vision, the Black Business Boom brand has expanded to include Boomin University, offering training and mentorship for business owners, and Black Owned Nashville, a directory of over 1200 Nashville-based Black owned businesses.

As a passionate business leader, Danielle has used her platform to help bridge the gap between business owners and the community. Through numerous workshops, conferences and coaching sessions, she has taught other entrepreneurs how to build sustainable businesses. Danielle holds an MBA from Saint Xavier University and currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee.

Black Business Boom

Black Business Boom is a social enterprise that supports small Black-owned businesses by providing digital marketing training and hands-on support. Our mission is to empower, educate and inspire digital entrepreneurship in Black communities to reduce economic inequality. Because of the digital divide, many Black-owned businesses have trouble developing a strong online presence making it very difficult for them to compete in today's marketplace. Black Business Boom aims to solve this problem by providing free and low-cost training that helps small businesses take control of and grow their online presence.

Black Owned Nashville

Black owned Nashville is a non-profit organization that offers a directory of over 1200 Black-owned businesses in Nashville, TN. We also provide financial literacy education to business owners and community members as well as an emergency fund for community members in need. Our mission is to connect consumers to Black-owned businesses and provide community resources in order to close the wealth gap among African Americans and strengthen our communities.
